ViaCon has signed agreements of acquisitions of Hamco Dinslaken Bausysteme GmbH, HaKu Service GmbH and MSB Montage von Schutzeinrichtungen und Bausystemen GmbH. The acquisitions strengthen ViaCon’s position in Europe, providing a strong platform for delivering competitive and sustainable customer solutions.
Hamco is a family-run company located in Dinslaken, Germany since 1956 and sells and manufactures Soil Steel Bridges for road construction and civil engineering and other related products.
Through the acquisitions, ViaCon will become the market leader for corrugated Bridges & Culverts Solutions in Europe. The acquisitions are an important part of ViaCon’s plan for further expansion into Western Europe. Germany is an attractive market and by acquiring Hamco, ViaCon is adding not just access to this market, but also a brand with a strong reputation. Hamco is known for its high quality, competence and stable organization as well as the ability to create high quality solutions.
The business in Hamco will continue under the joint company, ViaCon Hamco GmbH, and the deal is planned to be closed by April 1, 2021. We will keep the Hamco® brand name. The business in MSB will continue in HaKu Service GmbH, as from April 1st 2021. HaKu Service GmbH will continue as before but with a new ownership as a part of ViaCon Group.
“I am very pleased to announce these strategically important acquisitions. Hamco® is a strong brand name and the company is known as an innovative supplier of Soil Steel Bridges and related products. Our operations complement each other well and together we will become an even stronger player in our industry. The acquisitions also mean that we will broaden ViaCon´s customer base and our product offering. Further on, we will invest in our German industrial footprint to broaden our product and customer offerings. The acquisitions are a milestone in ViaCon’s development, and I look forward to welcoming Hamco, HaKu and MSB to the ViaCon Group.”
